TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CLIENTS - The client is the person who makes the booking and takes responsibility for all the other passengers in their party.

TRANSFERS - Transport provided to the clients travelling to and from Cairns Airport, Cairns Railway Station, Cairns Port, Tourist Attractions and to and from Resorts and local towns.

AGENTS - Third parties such as Resorts and Travel Agents who make transfer bookings with us on behalf of Clients.

BOOKINGS:

When you make an advance booking you must complete a transfer request form accepting, on behalf of your party, the terms of these booking conditions.

A contract will exist when we issue our confirmation.

Your Private Transfer Booking has been made with Private Transfers Port Douglas Pty Ltd (ACN 618 504 911 ).

PRICES:

All prices are inclusive of Australian Goods and Service Tax (GST).

Prices quoted are for the whole charter of the vehicle for the period of the transfer.

PAYMENTS:

Payment needs to be made in full to secure your booking. Confirmation documents will not be issued if payment has not been received.

Bookings where Passengers pay cash to the driver can be arranged , but need to be organised in advance.

CANCELLATIONS:

Cancellation by the client must be done in writing, with at least 48 hours notice.

If you cancel within 48 hours of your arrival time the full price of your booking will be payable.

If you cancel outside of the 48 hours of your arrival time a 10 % cancellation fee is applicable.

NON REFUNDABLE:

A surcharge of $80.00 (AUS) will be applicable for transfers between the hours of 10pm and 5am.

A $220 cleaning fee will be levied if the vehicle requires detailed cleaning due to the event of any spills, food or sickness causing the vehicle to be unusable for a period of time.

LIABILITY:

We will endeavour to provide a transfer to the client, from the pickup point detailed in the booking confirmation at the time specified, with the minimum delay reasonably possible.

However circumstances beyond our control include, but are not restricted to the following.
  • Any road closures or restricted access to the intended route chosen by the driver.
  • Any delays as a result in weather conditions.
  • Any unforeseen traffic delays.
  • Any accident or incident causing delay, whether the vehicle carrying the client is directly or indirectly involved or not at all.
  • Any delay as a result of a flight, train being delayed thus delaying the driver.
  • We accept no responsibility for valuables left in our vehicles.
  • If through circumstances beyond Private Transfers Port Douglas control, we are unable to transfer you we will seek to arrange alternative transport for you at no extra cost.
INSURANCE:

Private Transfers Port Douglas has extensive third party insurance coverage.

We strongly recommend that clients should take out their own travel insurance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Please insure your phone number given on the booking form is the same number you will be contactable with on arrival.

Please check your mobile phone for messages on arrival, so that we can advise you of any delays.

WAIT TIME:

The wait time period is determined by your pickup location and starts at the wait times outlined.
  • Airport/Cruise Terminal pickup wait time starts at the flight or cruise arrival, or at the scheduled time of booking where no flight/cruise information has been supplied.
  • Domestic Flight 20mins.
  • International flights 45mins.
  • Non Airport/ Cruise Terminals 15mins.
  • After the wait time has elapsed a further charge of $20.00 per 15 mins is applicable.
  • During the wait period we will endeavour to call you on the contact number you have provided to confirm a meeting point.
  • If we are unable to contact you the driver will be advised to move on at the end of the wait time period, and full cancellation charges will apply.
  • Rates quoted are for the direct trip, any additional stops must be prearranged at time of booking.
REFESHMENTS:

Chilled water will be provided. No other food or drinks are allowed to be consumed in the vehicle.

CAR SEATS:

Baby seats/Child booster seats are free of charge. They must be requested at time of booking, and information provided to insure we provide the correct seat.

It is Queensland law that all children up to the age of 7 years, must be restrained in baby/booster seats.

LUGGAGE:

For the maximum number of 7 passengers the allocated luggage allowance is 1 medium sized bag each.
